I find it somewhat disturbing that North Saanich Council has decided to further support homeless housing in the City of Victoria.
It is my view, that Municipalities should NOT be involved in the housing market through direct funding. I have no problem with Municipalities aiding such by way of zoning, but direct funding is just not suitable,
We have three Provincial Ministries that are responsible for the social welfare system in British Columbia. They are the ones that should be taking the lead in these matters of which we are all taxed.
Property taxes are escalating way too fast as it is!
